Ray, 73, 404 E. Market died Thursday evening in Fulton County Medical Center. Born June 5, 1902, in Ayr Township, Fulton County, Mr. Ray was a son of the late Sanner E. and Blanche Keyser Ray.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and a life member of McConnellsburg Volunteer Fire Co. Surviving are his widow, Elmira Black Ray; a daughter and two sons: Mrs. Helen Glunt, Donald F. Ray, both of McConnellsburg; Charles R.

Ray, R.R. 2, Greencastle; nine grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren; two brothers and two sisters: John, Mrs. Nora Earley, Mrs. Esther Yost, all of McConnellsburg; Russell, Waynesboro. The funeral will be at 2 p.m.

Sunday in the John J. Kelso Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Dr. David R. Hoover.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Friends will be received in the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. 2, died at 3:35 a.m. today in Waynesboro Hospital. In failing health for a year, he was admitted to the hospital after becoming critically ill Wednesday. Born on R.R. 3, March 26, 1894, he was a son of the late Mordecai E.

and Emma H. Rebuck Hoover. For 22 years he operated a farm in the Five Forks area. Before retiring in 1959, Mr. Hoover was employed by Hess Bros.

Orchards for more than 20 years. He was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Order of Owls and the Owls Club. In addition to his widow, Mrs. Mattie F. Martin Hoover, he is survived by these sons and daughters: Martin Hoover, York; Lester, Harold and Aldus, all of Waynesboro; Walter Upton; Earl, Mont Alto; Paul and Mrs.

Verda Socks, both of R.R. Mrs. Mae Seylar, R.R. 1, Chambersburg Joseph, Brookhaven; Richard, Fort Loudon; Dean, Hagerstown, 27 grandchildren and 12 great -grandchildren; a brother and four sisters: Lloyd R. Hoover, R.R.

Esther Oberholzer, Waynesboro. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Grove Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles W. Reider officiating.
