🙋 Glad to see in a recent piece refer to our research around how SCTIMST build the biomedical innovation ecosystem in India over 1976-1995 period. This was published in JPIM Journal of Product Innovation Management, link to full article in comment. SCTIMST is a pioneering government research institution in #India. It is a remarkable story of how a handful of scientists with limited resources successfully commercialised multiple low-cost biomedical devices such as heart valves, blood bags and oxygenators in 1980s and 1990s of India adopting #frugalinnovation approaches.
